CCGeo and Geo-SAFER Agusan Project train faculty-researchers on RS, GIS and numerical modeling

The Caraga Center for Geo-Informatics through its Geo-SAFER Agusan Project trained faculty-researchers coming from several Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Caraga Region on Remote Sensing (RS), Geographic Information System (GIS), and Numerical Modeling (NM) for watershed characterization, flood modeling and hazard mapping.

The training was conducted from August 13-16, 2019 at the Geomatics Laboratory, College of Engineering and Geosciences, Caraga State University, Ampayon, Butuan City. It was attended by faculty-researchers of Caraga State University (CSU), Surigao Education Center (SEC), and Father Saturnino Urios University (FSUU).

This activity is the 2nd module of the “Geo-Informatics Capability Building Program for Caraga Region HEIs” of the Geo-SAFER Agusan Project which aims to share and transfer the methods and technologies of the project for utilization by faculty-researchers in the region in their own research and innovation activities.
